employment

Tranen is a small company, with ten full-time staff, and intends to stay that way, so full-time staff positions do not become open very often at all.  However, we retain a small core group of experienced permanent non-staff casual employees and are always on the lookout for people to become part of this team.

Recruitment and training of non-staff personnel to meet peak demands usually commences around May/June for the revegetation season, and around October for the seed collection season. As revegetation work is best done in the rain and is fairly arduous, and as seed collection is generally conducted in hotter months, our work is suited to people who are fit and well, enjoy working outdoors, and don’t mind doing repetitive tasks.

We can be flexible with respect to days and hours of work, which suits many students looking to gain work experience and others not wanting full-time work. Peak periods in the revegetation and seed collection seasons coincide with University vacations.

Tranen is an equal-opportunity employer.
