Quality is an integral part of every aspect of our operations, as is our quest to constantly review and improve on our procedures and outcomes.
As a small company, we have not felt the need to obtain formal accreditation in quality assurance. However, Total Quality Management (TQM) is an integral part of our business, and our Managing Director has a formal qualification in TQM:
Tranen instead ensures quality and safety are achieved through all stages of our operations by:
- Compiling all Tranen administrative, accounting, safety and technical processes into one consolidated Procedures Manual, which is a live document and is continuously updated. Formalising and updating procedures helps in understanding tasks and activities, and ensures consistency across our operation;
- Inducting and training new staff to ensure personnel maintain a Tranen work “culture” and consistent level of quality control;
- Formulating safety procedures based on step-by-step descriptions of tasks detailed in the procedures; and
- Holding formal workshops attended by all of our staff at the end of each revegetation and seed collection season, to critically review our work procedures and seek improvements.
